No Excuse For Abuse

No Excuse for Abuse is a resource for parents & carers offering information about child safety awareness and the avoidance of abuse. Activities designed for parents, carers and children 5 - 12 years are an important component, however, the core information has application for any age group in the English speaking world.

No Excuse for Abuse was developed taking into consideration the extensive literature search and external evaluation results of the Keeping Ourselves Safe programme. Professor Freda Briggs from the University of South Australia was contracted to undertake a literature review of best practice. Drafts of the booklet were circulated to a number of experts in the field for comment. The list included Dr Stephen Rollin from Florida State University.
